"You're Guilty - Now Go write a book!"

Former Bristol Myers Squibb executive is found guilty of providing misleading statement to the FDA regarding the patent issue with Plavix.

His sentence? Two years probation $1,000 fine and write a book, a cautionary tale to other executives....

I wonder how much the book will sell for?

Hmmm, this judge might be on to something...

    Note that the guy got off with a misdemeanor charge thanks to plea agreement. So he's not "very guilty" in the sense of meaningful accountability.

    If the book does emerge, it might go best in the humor section or in the "How We Got Away with It Again" shelf.

    Interesting case in it is one of those "I'll pay you not to make a generic" things. Not very high on the criminality scale.

    So I'm guessing it would be a fairly boring book unless it included reliable data about how widespread is the practice, and the variety of other ways brand companies succeed in a variety of ways to delay or prevent generics.

    According to zoominfo.com:

    Dr. Bodnar received his B.A. from Harvard College, his M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

    I wonder if, in such an illustrious education experience, Dr. Bodnar failed any of his ethics classes?
